GRAND OPENING OF FIRST FLAGSHIP STORE AT PLAZA SENAYAN, JAKARTA

On 21 July 2025, we celebrated the first-ever flagship store of PEGGY HARTANTO with a grand opening event that brought together our beloved friends and clients. Situated at Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, the standalone store marks a significant milestone in our journey since we established the brand in 2012.

Designed in collaboration with the architectural studio GondoJules, the striking space is rooted in PEGGY HARTANTO’s ethos of elegance and precision, as evident in the strong, structured architectural lines juxtaposed with organic shapes. The interior features a contrasting palette of dark brown and powder blue accentuated with chrome surfaces and structured clay walls.

“In designing our first standalone store, we wanted to create more than just a retail space—we envisioned a habitat that embodies our brand’s language and philosophy. Leveraging minimalism, materiality, and color, we sought to craft an environment that is immersive, calm, and focused, free from the overwhelming functions and distractions often present in retail architecture,” explained Peggy Hartanto, our Creative Director.

A DREAMLIKE CELEBRATION

For the grand opening event, the store was transformed with the addition of surrealist floral installations by the Surabaya-based design studio Sciencework. The shapes mimicked the motifs found on our new FLORET leather goods collection.

Set against the store’s interior, these unique installations provided a dreamlike ambience that immersed the guests in the brand’s narrative for the season. To further complement the store’s atmosphere, musician and friend of the brand Mariska Setiawan curated a playlist that served as a soulful landscape for the space (listen on Spotfiy).

The event started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and speech by the brand’s co-founders Peggy, Petty, and Lydia Hartanto. Afterward, our guests—many of whom wore their favorite pieces from our latest collection—were invited to browse the store’s offerings, including the newly launched FLORET leather goods, which encompassed sleek cardholders with leather floral appliqués in multiple colors.

Popular leather bag styles such as SAFF, NUIT, and ZIG were also given a refresh in new seasonal hues, while the latest ready-to-wear collection—ranging from evening dresses to sleek separates—highlighted our signature aesthetic of sculptural femininity and whimsical fantasy.

With the flagship store now officially open in Jakarta, we invite our loyal clients and new fans alike to slow down, get up close and personal with our designs, and immerse themselves in our world of refined craftsmanship.
